Manual Version: November 2009

Welcome to the Child Protection Procedures for Berkshire Local Safeguarding Children Board, which covers the LSCBs for; Bracknell Forest, Reading, Slough, The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, West Berkshire and Wokingham.

The contents list shows the chapters that have been revised or added since the 2006 procedures. Where revisions have been made these are indicated in the contents list and at the top of the relevant chapter in blue.

DOCUMENTS FOR CONSULTATION:

At the end of the contents list you will find a new section to the manual which includes draft chapters for consultation. Each draft chapter gives the name of the person to whom any feedback should be given and a link to the proforma for this purpose.

FOR FIRST TIME USERS OF THE MANUAL:

Please see 'Quick Guide' - which will explain how the manual has been structured and the ease with which it can be navigated - and 'Values' - which sets out the underlying principles which apply throughout every chapter. You can access these by using the buttons on the left hand side of the screen.
