Glossary: Exclusion requirement
The addition of an Exclusion Requirement to a YRO means that the young person is prohibited from entering a place specified in the order for a specified period. The specified period must not be longer than three months. The order may specify exclusion from a particular place or area for different periods over different days.
An Exclusion Requirement should be considered where there is an identifiable geographical/physical pattern of offending by the young person and excluding them from an area or premises will help to prevent further offending.
