Glossary: Intensive Supervision and Surveillance (ISS) Requirement
A court can only sentence a young person to a YRO with ISS when it is dealing with an offence which is punishable with imprisonment. A YRO with ISS includes an extended activity requirement for which the court may specify the number of days in the order (more than 90 days but not more than 180 days).
YRO with ISS must also include:
- A Supervision Requirement
- A Curfew Requirement
- An Electronic Monitoring Requirement (unless the court considers it inappropriate to do so).
