Glossary: YJB Placements & Casework Service

Responsible for the placement of all young people who are remanded to custody or sentenced by a court. Whilst the responsibility for placing young people who are remanded to local authority accommodation with a secure requirement lies with the relevant local authority the Placements and Casework Service acts as broker to facilitate their placement.
