Care Act 2014

The major piece of Adult Social Care Legislation, bringing together a host of previous legislation and policy into one Act.

The Care Act 2014 became law in England and Wales in April 2015 and comprehensive statutory guidance exists to support Local Authorities and practitioners in its implementation. The Care Act covers all areas of Adult Social Care, including Safeguarding, Referral, Assessment, Review, Support Planning, Commissioning, Carers Support, Financial Charging and Eligibility.
