Middlesbrough's Children’s Services Practice Week October 2024
Middlesbrough’s Children’s services Practice Week is taking place from Monday 21st October until Friday 25th October.
Our theme is Care Leavers and throughout the week there will be sessions delivered by services providing support for those children in or leaving our care; our Partners in Practice at Islington Council and other external speakers.
On Wednesday 23rd October in the Town Hall Crypt, we will be joined by our leadership team, care ambassadors and ‘Smash Life’ Directors, Andy and Matt Smith (brothers who were placed into the care system after neglectful parenting form their biological mother and father)

In addition to our amazing speakers, there will be opportunities to visit market stalls hosted by services and organisations who can provide support and wish to promote opportunities for children in or leaving care. They will include Teesside University, Employment Hubs, our Pathways team and many more.
