We will discuss how Research in Practice resources can support you with this year’s registration renewal requirements and it will include a question and answer session with both organisations.

Supporting practice: having courageous conversations - 23 September 2021
This webinar will explore why some conversations may feel ‘difficult’ or ‘uncomfortable’ and will support you to reflect on your practice by identifying strategies that can be used to prepare and take forward courageous conversations. Ensuring you are able to identify and receive support around courageous conversations is also covered.

Change project

Change Projects bring together groups of Research in Practice Partners to explore pressing challenges and priorities. A development group, led by experts in the topic at hand, come together to learn from research and practice experience and formulate responses, solutions, tools and materials to support change in policy and practice.

We are excited to announce that the working title for the 2022/2023 adults’ Change Project is 'Exploring oppression, inequality and disadvantage and how the frame of intersectionality might be useful in supporting good practice'.

This Change Project seeks to understand how the frame of intersectionality might be useful in supporting good practice with people who experience oppression, inequality and disadvantage and aims to develop a suite of resources to support practice and strategic initiatives that celebrate diversity and promote equality.

We would value your feedback in a short survey which should take no more than 15 mins to complete.

New blog

Alex Ruck Keene discusses the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and models of decision-making capacity being embedded into legislative systems.

New film

Strengths-based practice: Digital meetings this is a follow up to the brilliant first film featuring Gavin Rough and looks at having successful digital conversations. Well worth a watch.
