Managing Practice Learning training

The University of West of England (UWE) and Bristol University will both be running Managing Practice Learning (MPL) training courses from November - January.

UWE - Managing Practice Learning for Social Work Students (Supervisors and Practice Educators)
The UWE MPL for Social Work Students course aims to prepare Practice Educators and Practice Supervisors to work with UWE Bristol BSc (Hons) Social Work students undertaking both the 70 and 100 day placements. The dates available are:

  • 17, 26 November 2020
  • 1, 8, 10, 15 December 2020
  • 21 January 2021

Please note that if you attend this MPL training you will be required to take a UWE student when requested, so it is recommended you confirm this with your manager prior to making a booking.

Bristol University – Managing Practice Learning (3 day course)
The Bristol University MPL course aims to prepare Placement Supervisors and Practice Educators in their role working with student social workers. The dates available are:

  • 12 January 2021
  • 19 January 2021
  • 26 January 2021

Please note that staff attending this training will be required to act as a Practice Supervisor to a Bristol student soon after completion, so please ensure this is discussed with your manager prior to making a booking.
