RIP update and online events

The latest update and details of new online workshops from Research in Practice are now available:

Suzy Bray and Michael Preston-Shoot recently updated the Working with people who self-neglect: Practice Tool.

New on their events programme are the following online workshops (register interest via RIP log in):

Lived experience in practice
Led by facilitators with lived experience, this knowledge exchange event will share expertise from the sector about how to reduce barriers to communication and engagement for people. The Lived experience in practice workshop will be held on Friday 5 February and will run from 10:00 - 15:45 with a break for lunch between 12.30 and 13.15 approximately.

Making strengths-based working real – exploring relational strengths-based working in complexity.
This online workshop will allow you to explore how strengths-based working can be used in practice scenarios that feel complex in nature, either in terms of a person’s circumstances, context, differing communication needs, and impaired or fluctuating capacity. Supporting the development of knowledge, values and skills in adopting strength-based mind-sets, principles and approaches to practice. It will also facilitate legal and ethical literacy in relation to key legislation and government policy related to adult social care. This workshop is being run three times:
