1. Housing Teams in Swindon

There are 3 housing teams in Swindon.

Lettings Team

The Lettings Team deal with the letting of social housing in Swindon. In addition to Swindon Borough Councils housing stock the Letting Team also let the majority of housing association properties in the Swindon area. This includes all adapted and supported housing.

Properties are let in line with the Councils Allocation Policy details of this can be found at www.swindon.gov.uk.

The lettings team work closely with Adult Social Care to ensure that the housing stock is used effectively to meet the needs of individuals.

Housing Options Team

The Housing Options Team deal with those residents of Swindon that are facing homelessness. This includes prevention, sourcing private lets and providing emergency accommodation if needed. The Housing Options Team only have access to general needs accommodation.

Tenancy Services

Once a Swindon Borough Council tenancy has commenced any issues or queries are dealt with by the Tenancy Services Team. This includes rent collection, anti-social behavior, changes to the tenancy ect. If a resident secures a Housing Association property this service is provided by the Housing Association and not Swindon Borough Council.
